What is Smart U-turn?

The Smart U-turn function is an advanced feature that utilizes a comprehensive analysis of field boundaries to strategically plan the most suitable path for your tractor, minimizing space usage in the headlands. It enables automatic turns and efficient closing of headlands, making it an excellent option for larger fields. 

 


How it helps with field work?

Complete and automatic driving path: The Smart U-turn generates a comprehensive driving path that includes all necessary turns and headlands closing, eliminating the need for additional manual input during the operation. 

Minimal operator intervention: With the Smart U-turn, operators can focus on other tasks while the system takes care of all navigation and turning requirements. 

How does Basic U-turn work?

The Basic U-turn function, on the other hand, offers two different turn shapes – Ω shape and fishtail shape – providing flexibility in various field types and situations.

Ω-shaped U-turn: This one-click turnaround function is well-suited for irregularly shaped fields with ample turning space at the headlands. With a simple click on the screen, the system initiates the turn, making it much easier for operators to navigate challenging areas.

Fishtail-shaped U-turn: Designed for irregular fields with limited turning space at the ends, the fishtail-shaped route provides a better solution for tight maneuvering situations. Similar to the Ω-shaped U-turn, operators must click the screen to initiate each turn.
Note: Manual switching between forward and reverse gears is required.
