We are thrilled to announce the official release of the FJD Trion S2 3D LiDAR Scanner firmware V1.1.1. Here are the new features and optimizations in this version:
New Features
Note: Please update your Scan App to V3.1 or later for stable device connection.
1. Horizontal Calibration
If your point cloud looks tilted after processing, you can go to Settings->Horizontal Calibration and follow the steps on the screen to calibrate your scanner. This will help reduce the tilt.
During scan initialization, the system automatically checks the calibration file. If the values are out of range, a prompt will appear asking you to perform horizontal calibration.
Note:
Make sure your scanner's battery is above 20% before starting horizontal calibration.
Put the scanner on a flat, open surface with a 3-meter clear space in front of it. It will auto-fix its settings and update the calibration file – you don't need to do anything.
When done, a point cloud file appears. If it looks good, delete it. If the issue persists, send the file to the FJD team for help.
2. Calibration File Verification
If your S2 scanner isn't properly calibrated, the real-time point cloud may not display correctly.
To prevent this, the scanner now does a full calibration check during scan initialization. If anything isn't calibrated right, the initialization will fail, and you'll need to contact the FJD team for help.
Optimized Features
RTK Algorithm Optimization
Optimized how negative longitude values are handled when transforming coordinates. Now, the central meridian is used correctly, and you'll get accurate RTK fusion coordinates in the Model software.
