We are excited to announce the release of the FJD Trion Model D204. This upgrade brings several improvements to enhance user experience. Check out what's new and improved below.

New Features

1. Draw points, ellipses, and regular polygons in many different ways, helping you meet all your drawing needs.

2. Add a mirror function that lets you easily flip and copy shapes, so you don't have to draw the same geometric elements twice. This makes drawing much faster.

3. Add an offset function to help you quickly draft structures like walls.

4. Rotate selected items to draw symmetrical shapes faster.

5. Offer polar tracking to help you draw lines at specific angles via polar axes.

6. Support object snapping to let you easily connect to key points on shapes. You can snap to endpoints, midpoints, intersections, perpendicular points, centerline points, and geometry nodes.

7. Manage layers and control how your drawing looks. You can hide or show layers, edit them, and even lock them. You can also set the style, width, and color of lines on each layer.

8. Change objects by adjusting their layer, color, line style, and width. You can also show object properties like their center and radius.

9. Separate plane slicing into a modularized tool, allowing you to slice your point cloud data one time or multiple times. 

10. Use slices from your 3D point cloud to assist vector drawing. You can also easily adjust where these slices are located. 

11. View panoramic images while you're drawing. This helps you confirm exactly where objects are and see all their details.

12. Adjust the height and number of viewpoints in your panoramic images, so you can see clearly in an unblocked view, especially across different floors. 

13. Create geometric elements directly without needing to create slices from your point cloud data first. 

14. Automatically record associations between point clouds and vector data like slice position, so you can keep drawing smoothly without losing your place. 

15. Snap objects for much more precise results when you measure or add annotations. 

16. Fill in holes in your 3D point cloud data to fix data voids caused by occlusions. 

17. Calculate the density of your point clouds to visually see how they are distributed. 

18. Calculate point cloud normals for use in third-party modeling programs.

19. Support a CSV format option for forestry data output to meet different needs.

20. Offer a manual correction tool to let you adjust point cloud normals by setting planes and directions. 

21. Evaluate the density of your point cloud to see how well the scanning is going or to check its quality.

22. Support DWG format for more types of drafting projects. 

23. Support batch mapping for the S2 series in drone mode. 

24. Add the mapping compatibility mode for the S2 series, helping it work better and succeed more in scenarios with fewer features or high motions.

 Optimized Features 

1. Fixed an issue where the point cloud was not displayed after executing batch mapping.

2. Optimized memory management for point cloud registration to reduce system lag. 

3. Supported E57 data format. 

4. Optimized activation code logic. 

5. Fixed network exceptions during RTK registration.

6. Support for RTK-based continuous registration operations

7. Optimized color assignment editing algorithm. Now, those edited areas will look much more like they do in real life.

8. Fixed memory exception issue after adding individual tree objects.

9. Fixed colorization failure with specific graphics card models. 

10. Fixed memory exception during coordinate registration. Also, you can now drag to adjust how wide columns are in tables. 

11. Unified export file names and parameter list labels for panoramic images. 

12. Added logging for algorithm performance in the colorization process. 

13. Adjusted the timing tolerance between colorized videos and point clouds to ensure colorization compatibility. 

14. Improved saturation in point cloud colorization. 


Note: The FJD Trion Model V204 works with the FJD Trion Scan V3.0. You can use it with the following scanner versions: P1 V1.6.1, S1 V2.6.1, and S2 V1.0.4.
