FJD Trion N10: Small Investment, Big Impact!

It’s been over a year since we first introduced the FJD Trion™ N10 to the market, and the N10 has gained increasing popularity in the field of precision agriculture, geospatial, lawn management, and drone-based applications. Today, we're excited to launch the latest updates on the product. In this release blog, we'll share some customer success stories and explore how these small technology investments can lead to big impacts on efficiency and outcomes.

What's New?

The N10 has been constantly evolving over the last year, and the latest updates bring a handful of exciting new functionalities that enhance the system's versatility, reliability, and ease of use. Here's a breakdown of the key changes:

Support for Multiple Data Formats

The N10 can now work with more data formats like RTCM 2.3 and 3.0. This means it can be compatible with a broader range of equipment from different brands, helping you easily meet the demands in a wide array of operational settings. This expansion of supported formats increases the device's flexibility and appeal to a wider customer base in agriculture, surveying, or any other field requiring precise data communication.

RINEX Data Download

The N10 now allows you to download RINEX 3.04 data, enabling you to directly access the raw GNSS data for post-processing. This gives you more convenience when you're trying to troubleshoot or analyze data quality. If you work on geodetic surveys or scientific projects, this feature is extremely useful because it ensures reliable post-processed data integrity, helping you achieve more accurate results and higher operational efficiency.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

In addition to traditional Ethernet and SIM card options, the N10 now features Wi-Fi connectivity for a more flexible internet connection. With this added support, you can easily connect to the internet even when wired network setups are impractical or impossible. If you're in a remote place or somewhere with troublesome wiring, the N10's Wi-Fi option is a handy solution to keep you connected without the hassle of old-fashioned networking.

Firmware Updates via USB Flash Drive

Firmware updates for the GNSS receiver can now be done via a USB flash drive, in addition to the existing OTA (over-the-air) and web-based update options. This is helpful when you need a plug-and-play update in places with bad internet, like remote areas. With a USB flash drive, you can easily manage and install crucial updates without the need for a stable internet connection, ensuring your devices stay updated and work well in challenging environments.

Email Alerts and Notifications

The N10 can now send emails to you about important things, like if the base station stops working or moves unexpectedly, and when it's time to renew your NTRIP account. These alerts and reminder messages help you stay aware of how your system is doing, so you can respond to any issues fast and keep everything running smoothly.

Solar Charging

The N10 now comes with a solar charging option that is perfect for places with limited or no access to electricity. This allows the N10 to keep working in remote areas, making it great for farming and surveying in far-off locations. Solar charging increases the device's independence and usefulness in various outdoor situations. Such an eco-friendly option shows the increasing role of clean energy in technology today.

How Does It Bring Success?

The N10 is already making a real difference in the world, with its positive effects on people's lives. Let's take a look at two remarkable examples of how it's helping customers worldwide succeed in their projects:

Case 1: Large-Scale Deployment in Türkiye

  • Challenge: In Türkiye, many farmers and surveyors were struggling with outdated CORS systems and poor data quality from local reference stations.
  • Solution: The deployment of the N10 in Türkiye enhanced the density of the CORS network, greatly improving GNSS signal coverage. The system's reliability helped overcome the quality issues associated with older models, and the ability to support a variety of data formats ensured compatibility with existing infrastructure.
  • Result: Farmers and surveyors collected geospatial data with accuracy now, boosting efficiency and productivity in their daily work.

Case 2: Extensive Rollout in Japan

  • Challenge: Japanese customers needed stable, accurate GNSS infrastructure for precision agriculture, UAVs, and mapping. They also required strong, non-stop coverage over large areas.
  • Solution: The N10 was deployed across the country, forming a dense CORS network that provided consistent and accurate GNSS signals for a variety of applications, including agriculture, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations, and precision surveying.
  • Result: The N10 delivered reliable and high-precision data using advanced features like multi-format support and VRS technology. This helped customers in Japan get the precise data they needed.
